I am an 15 year old real girl with a very big clit (bigger than my lips) that makes sometimes so much pain that I cant urinate without pain. My gynecologt said that my clit should be amputated, because that is the only possibility to heal the pain and look like a girl. After that I go to a other gynecologt to hear his opinion. He said that a clitoris amputation is not nessesary, but he do not know if it would be better.I do not know what is better for me. On the one hand no pain anymore and looks like a normal girl is fantastic, on the other hand the clit is a part of my genitalia. But I think I let my clit amputate. Now I have some questions about this operation – whats your opinion? – should a big clit gernerally be amputated? – is that a big operation? – Can you give me informations about this op? – How long must I stay in hospital? – I heard that at such a op parts of the little lips are removed, too. – is that right? – Why? – Can I have orgasms after this op? – What consequences have this op? – what is a neoclit?
Do not, I repeat, do not rush into any operation which mutilates your genitalia. First of all, I want you to know that many females have large clitorises that protrude beyond their labia; so to say that you don’t look like a ‘ normal’ female isn’t true. I hear that you feel like a freak, and this belief is based upon a false understanding of female anatomy. Recently, the NY Times printed an article about clitoridectomies. It explained that many doctors perform these barbaric operations to ‘help’ girls with large clitorises look more like ‘normal’ females. Such operations are outrageous mutilations of normal females.Remember, many women are born with large clits. (Just as men have widely ranging penis sizes, so do females have widely ranging clitoris sizes). To prove that you are not a freak who is part male, you need to understand about a rare developmental disorder which causes a female’s body to develop like that of the opposite sex. When you read about this condition, you will see that your body doesn’t fit this profile at all. There are two conditions called ‘adrenogenial syndrome’ and ‘adrenogen insensitivity syndrome’ in which the female develops a penis and testicles inside her labia, doesn’t develop internal female genitalia (uterus, vagina, etc. ) doesn’t develop breasts and can’t get her period. You didn’t mention any of these symptoms, which further convinces me that you are a woman whose clitoris falls within the range of normal. If it would make you feel better, and you want to prove that you are not suffering from the conditions I mentioned above, go to a good department of endocrinology or genetics at the nearest medical school and ask for an appointment with someone familiar with diagnosing developmental sexual disorders. This doctor can determine your chromosomal pattern, gonadal sex, hormone levels and the status of your internal organs. Now, as for the pain you experience. I am not convinced that the pain upon urination is related to the clitoris size. (Your urethra and clitoris are completely separate organs. ) It sounds to me more likely that the physical pain you feel may be an expression of the emotional pain you are suffering. I think you need to talk with a therapist about how you feel about your body. This should help you accept your beautiful and sexy body just the way God made it. Once you feel better about yourself, the urination pain should go away. So, here’s the plan. Go talk to a therapist and work on accepting your body. Check yourself out with the type of doctor I described and then get back with me. Promise me, that you won’t submit yourself to any operations until we talk again.
