Dear Dr. Love,I am embarrassed to ask this question but I do not really have anyone else to ask. I was wondering if there are any actual risks to making love to someone with an exceptionally large penis. My boyfriend is an athlete and bodybuilder and his erect penis is 11′ long! (I measured) The diamater is nearly 8′ long. I wonder whether this could pose problems in the future. For example, what if things didn’t work out with us? Does the vagina ‘stretch’ to accommodate– and if so, does it’stretch’ back?I guess I wonder any other risks. For example, it seems as if I have gotten more vaginal-type infections since we’ve been involved.Any information you might have on this subject would be greatly helpful to me.Thank you ,Lulu
The vagina is made of up of flesh with tiny folds that expand and then contract. In childbirth, the vagina expands far more than it does when having intercourse, even with a man who has a large penis.Regarding your second question, why are you having infections since you’ve been with him. I would imagine that because he is large you are experiencing some irritation. When the tissues become irritated or abraded, they are more ripe for infection.Various organisms naturally occur in the vagina. These organisms don’t overgrow and turn to full-blown infections unless your own balance is upset. Irritating the skin upsets the balance. The tissue of the vagina can also become imbalanced from stress, poor diet, depression, hormone fluctuations, diabetes, and use of birth control pills. You may also not be reacting well to the bacteria that naturally lives on him. If this is the problem, then condoms may help.It is likely that you are experiencing a ping pong effect. You transmit the infection to him, he gives it back to you, and so on. Using condoms will also help stop this from happening.Do find out what the exact organism is that you have, and treat it. See your gynecologist and she or he can make that diagnosis. Make sure your body and your vagina is in balance, and you should be fine.
