Dear Dr. Turndorf,There is this girl that I am just mad about. I have never felt like this before about a girl before. She’s all I think about and she is who I would love to be with.My question is that I go to a different college than she does, not too far away. I have spoken to her a few times because she lived in the same dorm as my ex. But I want to ask her out on a date. How do I do that when I’ve only talked to her a couple of times? I thought about doing a secret admirer thing, but it sounds really cheesy. What do you think I could do to, or better yet what should I do?Please respond ASAP.
I wouldn’t go with the secret admirer plan because it makes you seem younger than your age.Since you know what dorm she lives in, why couldn’t you arrange to put yourself in her path. Visit her dorm and manage to bump into her. Start up a conversation and let nature take its course. If you don’t manage to bump into her after a couple of attempts, you could drop her a note at the dorm, but sign your name. Tell her that you feel drawn to her and would like to know her better. Leave your number or email address so that she can respond to you if she’s interested, which I’m sure she will be.What woman in her right mind would turn her back on a man who is willing to go to such an effort to reach out to her.Let me know what happens.
